WHAT IS STEM?
STEM is a way of teaching math and science using problem-based challenges, the Engineering Design Process, 21st Century Skills, and Technology.
While we may not always have a challenge we are working towards, we are always trying to integrate math and science lessons. Being able to integrate math and science standards is not easy, in fact sometimes it's hit or miss, but recently we've been able to complete several integrated lessons and the kiddos love them!
Our students love having the chance to learn information on their own or with their teams by experimenting. They are able to test their ideas, evaluate their conclusions, and restructure their thinking as they learn through discovery.
